4th graders in 3 Months!
I know it feels like we are done with most of the testing behind us and the warm days ahead, but if you looked at the title of this entry we will be 4th graders starting July 30th next year! We still have a lot of prep to do and good habits to form. We also have very important grades to make that will average with our TCAP scores when they return.
There are a lot of fun dates coming up too. Like our field trip on May 8th!! Watch for these important dates in your child’s agenda.

I know you are tired of hearing about it, BUT we are working hard to prepare and will need your help! We will need to have extra homework, supplies, and special encouragement from you over the next four weeks. These tests impact your students’ final grade and placement for the next year!
Testing
Our last and very important progress monitoring is coming up this week! It is very important your students are here at school on time. Then watch for weekend and Spring break packets for practice for TCAP.
Also come eat free pizza on March 6th for our parent night: Are you smarter than a Third Grader???
Welcome Back!!
I know this feels like the downward slope, but I am afraid we have a lot more climbing to do! We have some more testing coming up in the next few weeks at school. We also have a few changes in store to ensure we are ready for TCAP, when it does arrive. Please watch for newsletters and try to support your students the best you can with any work that comes home.
Testing and Parties Before Christmas
We are right in the middle of our Constructed Response test. You should have gotten a letter about that last week.
Next week, we will go straight into our Benchmark testing in the beginning of the week. These tests are very important in letting us know how your students are learning.
After all the hard work we will have a big party on Thursday the 15th for our PAWS rewards.
On Friday the 16th, we will have our class party. We will exchange gifts and eat treats until 10:00. Then it is Christmas Break Time!
Thanksgiving Here We Come!
Thanksgiving Break is coming soon! Can you believe how fast it has gone by? We will be out the 23rd, 24th, and the 25th.
Halloween Parade and Goodies
On Monday, we will have a school parade of costumes at 9:30. If you have never been, it is the cutest thing you will ever see. The kids really enjoy it. We will also have a fun skill swap among classes. That means there will not be a whole lot of party time left in the day, so we will just have a small goodies time before recess. If you would like to send in a treat for our class, please send it or bring it that morning, but we will not be eating until that afternoon. Let me know of any questions!
Report Cards/Conferences/Fall Break
Some big events are coming up that you do not want to miss! Wednesday, Report Cards come home in a brand new electronic format. Call me if you have questions. Thursday night are conferences. Please, watch for your time to be in your child’s agenda! Then… FALL BREAK!
Cookie Dough Arrives!!
Thursday cookie dough will be here. Parents pick up from 12 to 4pm. Friday cookies for snack!
